The National / Alamo brand of Enterprise Mobility has an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Automotive Technician. The Apprentice Automotive Technician will work alongside Automotive Technicians to learn and gain experience diagnosing and repairing vehicles across several manufacturer lines. The Apprentice Automotive Technician must have a commitment to earn 2 more ASE's within 12-18 months from their start date in order to become an Automotive Technician.

The successful candidate will be required to work Sunday - Thursday from 1 : 30pm - 10 : 00pm and some holidays depending on business demand.

This position is located at 165 98th Ave, Oakland, CA

Compensation for this position is $32 hour (Full time) , not a flat rate - get paid for the hours you work!

Responsibilities

We are hiring now for immediate openings. Responsibilities include :

Work alongside an experienced auto technician as directed by supervisor or manager, to gain experience in the following areas :

Ensure that all mechanical repairs are completed according to the manufacturers specifications and guidelines

Complete manufacturer required training and perform warranty and recall repairs according to the manufacturers specifications and guidelines.

Complete ADA installs as required upon completion of training

Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.

Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures

Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of all services

Utilize multiple manufacturers websites, software and diagnostic tools

May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy backs

Update job knowledge by participating in company and manufacturer approved training or other industry related training

Follow proper procedures to comply with all health, safety and environmental standards

Maintain the work area in a safe, clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards

Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Two years of automotive technical training at an accredited technical or trade school preferred, OR a minimum of three years of technical experience in an automotive repair shop servicing current model vehicles preferred

2+ current and valid ASE certifications required

Understanding of GM, Ford, Toyota, and Chrysler warranty procedures is a plus

Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

Must be able to work Sunday - Thursday from 1 : 30pm - 10 : 00pm

Must have a commitment to earn 2 more ASE's within 12-18 months from their start date
