We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work on WisDOT or other local agency roadway and bridge construction projects. This full-time, salaried position will be responsible for assisting and leading WisDOT construction projects while also performing construction inspections. This position is based out of our Madison Office, but we are flexible on your home location as projects are typically located in Southern Wisconsin.ResponsibilitiesThis full-time, salaried position will be responsible for assisting and leading WisDOT construction projects while also performing construction inspectionsLead construction projects for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) or other local agenciesCultivate strong relationships with WisDOT staff and / or local municipalities to enhance collaboration and project efficiencyConduct construction oversight and inspectionPerform materials testing and documentationPerform precise field measurements to gather essential data for project planning and executionComplete construction closeout documentationAssist in planning, designing, managing, coordinating, and monitoring all design and technical aspects of transportation projectsProvide engineering designs and technical leadership to transportation design engineers, including the preparation of calculations, schedules, reports, cost estimates, plans, and specificationsQualifications2+ years of field construction inspection experience or project management experience working with WisDOT, municipalities or other state / government agencyMust have a valid driver's license and reliable transportationBachelor or associate degree in civil engineering or construction managementStrong knowledge of roadway and bridge construction projectsExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficient oral and written communication skillsExperience with CADD or plan preparation for civil infrastructure projects beneficialPay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $120000.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
