Position Overview : Our award-winning client, a frontrunner in the steel fabrication and erection industry since 1909, is seeking a mid-level Estimator to join their team. Renowned for handling complex, large-scale structural projects, this newly established role will report directly to the VP of Sales and Estimating. It presents a wonderful opportunity to impact significant structural projects within a collaborative and ethical environment. Key Responsibilities : Prepare estimates for structural steel components, including detailed take-offs and labor estimates. Review vendor quotes and ensure compliance with contract documents. Produce comprehensive estimate summaries, identifying project requirements. Collaborate closely with the VP of Sales and Estimating to deliver accurate and timely estimates. Support the training and development of Estimators-in-Training. Compensation : Our client offers a competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $70,000 , based on experience, education, certifications, and skills, reflecting a strong commitment to attracting top talent for this critical position. Required Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in bridge construction, estimating, or a related field. At least 1 year of understanding the means and methods of bridge construction. 1 year of experience reviewing construction drawings. Familiarity with Bluebeam and Outlook (1 year preferred). Recent experience as an Estimator (3 years required). Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. 2-3 years of experience in bridge construction, estimating, or a similar field. Proficient in reviewing construction plans and specifications. Desired Skills : (Not Required) Strong experience in reviewing construction drawings. Proficiency with Bluebeam, Outlook, and other software tools. A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
