We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly skilled Chief Construction Estimator to join our progressive team. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to lead and manage the estimation process in the construction industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring that budgets, scopes, and RFIs are effectively managed to meet project objectives. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in estimation and project management.

Responsibilities

As our Chief Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for :

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracts.

2. Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine project requirements.

3. Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to obtain competitive quotations.

4. Responding to RFIs and coordinating with project teams to resolve any discrepancies or clarifications.

5. Managing and overseeing the work of junior estimators, providing guidance and mentoring as needed.

6. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects to develop project scopes and schedules.

7. Monitoring and tracking project costs to ensure budgets are maintained and adjusted as necessary.

8. Conducting risk analysis and identifying potential cost overruns or delays.

9. Presenting estimates and project budgets to senior management and clients.

10. Staying updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to improve estimation accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

To be considered for this pivotal role, you should possess the following qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction estimation.

3. Proficient in estimation software and project management tools.

4. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.

5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate and build relationships.

7. Proven leadership and team management abilities.

8. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

10. Professional certification in construction estimation is a plus.
