Job overview : We are seeking a highly-skilled, professional Purchaser to join our dynamic and growing team in the construction industry. In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's supply chain operates efficiently by procuring high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for our projects.
Responsibilities :
Develop strategies for sourcing and purchasing construction materials and equipment while ensuring quality, price, delivery, and service.
Negotiate contracts, improve prices, terms and conditions with suppliers while maintaining or improving quality standards.
Manage relationships and contracts with suppliers.
Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.
Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
Predict price trends and their impact on future activities.
Plan and manage material and supply requirements to prevent interruptions in the construction process.
Assess, manage, and mitigate risks in procurement process.
Collaborate with other departments to validate requirements and ensure clarity of specifications.
- Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
- Experience with Epicor software
- Familiar with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
- Knowledge of ERP Solutions
- Proficiency in using About Time software
- Ability to perform Accounting Functions
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
- Understanding of Budget Processes
- Familiarity with Buying Processes
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online
