The Construction Manager supports the Vice President, General Manager for the Kansas City Underground Assets in executing all capital expenditure, vacant space preparation & tenant improvement projects. This role will be responsible for : project budgeting, drafting all contracts for execution, organizing, tracking, running the OAC Meetings, updating Link construction tracking schedules, attend regularly scheduled Link construction update meetings, review and initial approval of contractor invoicing, coordination of tenant invoicing where appropriate, and execution of all projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
This position will report to the Vice President, General Manager for the Kansas City Underground Assets.
Responsibilities :
- Proactive communication, Link construction management, and asset management teams.
- Performing projects in strict accordance with established lease terms; oversee and evaluate contractor work to ensure it aligns with contract terms and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all GSA policies and regulations.
- Accurately forecast capital cash projections for the assigned projects.
- Completion of projects within established forecasted time frame and within established budget guidelines.
- Establish good working relationships with vendors throughout the market to build a strong and positive reputation for LINK Industrial.
- Uphold vendor selection integrity by adhering to corporate guidelines.
- The Construction Manager will assist the Vice President, General Manager in providing budgetary guidance to the acquisitions teams to help with deal creation and overall understanding of total cost and project schedule.
- Serve as a point of contact for Contractors and 3rd party Project Managers regarding construction related issues.
- Regional reporting for monthly cash forecasting to the Construction Operations team.
- Input timely project & budgetary updates along with respective backup documentation.
