Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and documentation to create detailed and accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other team members to gather essential information for pricing.
- Utilize software tools for cost estimation and project management.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions, verify measurements, and gather data to support estimates.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive terms and pricing.
- Monitor project budgets throughout construction to ensure adherence to cost-control measures.
- Prepare comprehensive estimate reports, including breakdowns of labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Foster strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in construction estimating, preferably in pre-construction.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and estimating software.
- Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial projects is preferred.
