Job Description :

Talent Corps is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman with grading operator experience for an exciting opportunity in Tampa, FL . As a Foreman, you will coordinate and supervise the daily activities of a 2-6 person crew, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities :

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a small crew (2-6 people), ensuring that work is carried out efficiently and safely.
Review crew performance and have the authority to recommend promotions, demotions, transfers, merit increases, and terminations.
Continually inspect the work site for potential hazards or safety concerns, ensuring compliance with the company’s safety program and OSHA regulations.
Ensure crew safety by maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing safety regulations.
Oversee the operation and maintenance of assigned equipment, detecting any machinery malfunctions.
Analyze job production reports to ensure that production is within budget.
Approve and review employee time and crew production daily.
Complete and submit all required paperwork on time.
Maintain professional relationships with owners, inspectors, and other clients to ensure project success.
Determine grade elevations, sight visibility, topsoil, slope degrees, road approaches, and cattle guards. Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and standards.
Work long hours, nights, and weekends when necessary to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications :

2+ years of experience as a foreman in site preparation or similar construction work, with grading operator experience.

Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety regulations.

Ability to review and evaluate crew performance, and make personnel recommendations.

Experience with grading, road preparation, and other construction tasks requiring machinery operation.

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
