Your Responsibilities as a Construction Inspector :
- Observes work in progress to determine whether construction procedures followed, and materials used, are in reasonable conformance with plans and specifications.
- Measures distances to verify accuracy of dimensions of installations and layouts for roadways, parking lots, drainage, and utilities.
- Reviews plans and construction staking for ADA compliance.
- Verifies alignment and elevation of infrastructure installations to confirm it's being installed per plan location.
- Interprets plans, specifications, and contract documents and communicates requirements to clients and contractors.
- Maintains daily log of construction and inspection activities and compares progress reports.
- Track progress and quantity of construction work items.
- Perform and document testing of certain construction work items as defined in the contract documents.
- Reviews project plans for land development projects and provides comments on potential construction conflicts and provide feedback to engineers.
