Position Overview : The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of projects. This role involves analyzing project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine the overall costs, including materials, labor, and time. The Estimator will work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure estimates are comprehensive and competitive.

Key Responsibilities :

• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Analyze and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to determine the most cost-effective options.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment required for each project.
• Develop the basis of estimate at a level of detail appropriate to the size and complexity of the project.
• Coordinate estimate reviews with the appropriate project team members including but not limited to Business Development, Project Management, and Operations.
• Evaluate and recommend all allowance categories, including design allowance, construction allowance, escalation, and contingency as required to represent the final budget of the project.
• Track historical costs with appropriate benchmarking data to support future project estimates and funding requests.
• Analyze quotes and make comparisons from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain standard material and labor units.
• Evaluate the feasibility of multiple options in the planning phase of the project.
• Provide and present estimates of costs and pricing of varied types of construction methods and projects to various audiences.
• Actively solicit and encourage subcontractors and suppliers to price our work competitively.
• Obtain confirmation of subcontractor / supplier quotations.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
