The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) provides leadership, resources, support, and accountability to the state's 178 school districts, 1,888 schools, over 53,000 teachers, and over 3,200 administrators to help them build capacity to meet the needs of the state's approximately 905,000 public school students. Position Summary :
CDE is looking for a grant manager for the Building Excellent Schools Today grant (BEST). BEST is a competitive grant designed to resolve health, safety and security deficiencies in Colorado public schools. BEST Grant Managers are leaders in the field, working directly with school districts and collaborating with construction industry professionals on best practices in the field of facility construction and management.
Grant Managers ensure program requirements are met through reviewing grant proposals, approving construction reimbursements, ensuring accurate reporting, and refining or developing tools to support the program. Grant managers may also provide technical assistance related to master planning, design, construction, financing and / or operations and maintenance working with school district boards, professional industry committees, or giving presentations at regional and national conferences.
The final salary is anticipated to fall within the posted salary range, however could be higher or lower depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other qualifications of the preferred candidate while considering internal equity.
