Project Manager
We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple small-to-mid size oil and gas projects. The role involves managing engineering teams and ensuring project delivery aligns with the defined scope, schedule, and budget. This is a client-facing position that requires both technical credibility and strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple small-to-mid size projects within the oil and gas sector.
- Ensure project delivery is on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
- Lead and manage engineering teams comprising 1–5 engineers/designers per project.
- Engage in direct communication with clients to manage expectations and deliverables.
- Take ownership of projects, influencing delivery and team structures.
Essential Skills
- Strong experience in oil and gas, with a deep understanding of project execution in this environment.
- Technical experience is critical, ideally as a former engineer with 50–75% understanding in engineering/design.
- Experience in managing scope, schedule, and budget across multiple projects.
- Proven leadership skills in overseeing engineering teams.
- 6–10+ years of relevant experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred engineering degree.
- Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Comfortable with traveling and working in field/client environments.
- Ability to switch between project management and technical discussions.
Work Environment
This position is based in either Colorado Springs or Albuquerque, with 25–50% travel that varies depending on project needs. The work environment is a mix of office settings and client sites, offering high autonomy and direct client exposure. There are opportunities for growth into sr leadership roles, with the ability to influence project delivery and team structures.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, NM.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.87 - $60.00/hr.
