Position Overview :
Our client is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead the on-site construction efforts for K-12 and higher education projects in Columbus, Ohio. This role is responsible for managing field operations, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets, enforcing safety standards, and delivering exceptional quality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience overseeing education facility projects and a proven track record of successfully managing construction teams in the field.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee all on-site activities for K-12 and higher education construction projects from start to completion.
- Direct daily field operations, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget .
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain quality standards.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure work environment.
- Monitor construction progress, proactively identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
- Conduct regular site meetings to review project status, address concerns, and align team efforts.
- Ensure compliance with education facility codes, regulations, and best practices .
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to guarantee proper execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, school officials, inspectors, and other stakeholders .
- Document daily field activities, manage change orders , and provide progress reports to project managers.
