Construction technician Jobs in Overland Park, KS

Are you looking to take your career to the next level? If so, Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects, is currently seeking a qualified Construction Inspector for our Kansas City office. This person will be responsible for the inspection of specific operations on construction job sites for transportation projects. Residing in the greater Kansas City area is not a requirement as inspectors generally report to the various project locations.

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Observe and inspect various construction projects from beginning to completion. To include, but not limited to, thorough documentation of daily progress, computing and tracking materials and quantities, material sampling and testing, maintaining timely, accurate records of project progress and general oversight.
• Read and interpret plans, details, specifications, and other contract documents. Recognize and report any deviations from the contract documents.
• Conduct laboratory and field testing and reports on soils, aggregates, asphalt, and other materials.
• Maintain clear and effective written and oral communication and be able to answer inquiries as required.
• Attend and conduct meetings to gain insight of the project prior to construction, progress updates and other project related meetings.
• Measure and scale distances along with competent math skills to provide accurate documentation of work completed.

Annual Salary Range : $33,000 - $83,000
