POSITION : Construction Manager

COMPENSATION : $130,000 - $140,000 / Year DOE

DECRIPTION OF POSITION : The Construction Manager will provide complex professional, technical, and administrative support for Charities Housing's construction and rehabilitation projects; will support staff in the design, bidding preparing scope (specifications) of work needed for bids and contract documentation related to rehabilitation / construction / capital improvement projects as well as establishing a preventative maintenance program to increase the useable life of material / equipment and for budgeting purposes.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : The Construction Manager (CM) receives direct supervision from the Director of Housing Development and the Director of Property Operations. The CM may provide general supervision to other lower-level Housing Development staff.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

• A. in construction management, architecture, civil, structural engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, general contracting, architecture or engineering.
• General Contractor, Architect or Engineering License preferred.
• Knowledge of the affordable housing industry and applicable federal, state, and local government regulations.
• Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, MS Teams, and Outlook.
• Valid California Driver's License and insurance required.
