Job Description :
The Construction Safety Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining the health and safety of the company’s workforce and job sites. This individual will collaborate with leadership, managers, and field teams to ensure compliance with safety protocols and foster a proactive safety culture across all projects.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform regular safety audits and inspections of construction sites and employee activities.
Create, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures.
Oversee the organization of all safety documentation, including annual OSHA 300 and 300A forms, ensuring proper completion and compliance.
Develop and lead engaging safety training sessions tailored to workforce needs.
Proactively identify safety risks and recommend strategies to address potential hazards.
Investigate and document incidents, implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
Manage personal protective equipment (PPE) inventory and ensure proper use on job sites.
Build relationships with occupational health providers to support effective injury management and reduce lost time incidents.
Monitor and enforce subcontractor adherence to health and safety standards.
Conduct reviews of safety misconduct programs and document findings to promote accountability.
Qualifications :
Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or willingness to achieve these credentials.
Valid OSHA Outreach card for the 30-hour Construction Safety program.
Authorization to deliver OSHA 10 / 30-hour Construction Safety training.
Completion and authorization to conduct Power Industrial Truck (PIT) training through the National Safety Council.
Proven experience in the construction or labor field with a solid understanding of industry practices, OSHA regulations, and safe work methods.
Strong background in First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
Hands-on experience addressing workplace safety in active construction environments, including familiarity with incident reporting and hazard mitigation.
