What You Will Do

A TMS (Transportation Management System) Installation Specialist is a professional tasked with the implementation, configuration, and setup of transportation management software solutions for clients. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their transportation operations and tailoring the TMS to meet their specific needs, ensuring a smooth transition and maximizing the efficiency of their logistics and supply chain operations.

System Implementation and Setup : Install and configure TMS software according to client specifications and business requirements. Perform system integrations with other software tools and platforms used by the client, ensuring seamless data flow.

Client Consultation and Support : Work directly with clients to understand their transportation and logistics needs. Provide expert advice on how to best utilize the TMS features to improve operational efficiency.

Training and Documentation : Train client staff on how to use the TMS, including creating user manuals and training materials. Document system configurations and setups for future reference and support.

Testing and Quality Assurance : Conduct thorough testing of the TMS to ensure all components function correctly and meet client needs. Identify and rectify any issues or bugs, ensuring the system is reliable and efficient.

Ongoing Support and Maintenance : Provide technical support and troubleshooting for clients post-installation. Perform regular system maintenance and updates, ensuring the TMS remains optimized.

Project Management : Manage timelines and deliverables for multiple TMS installation projects simultaneously. Communicate project progress and any potential delays or issues to stakeholders.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Logistics, related field or comparable experience.

Experience in TMS installation, configuration, or support.

Understanding of transportation and logistics operations.

Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support users.

Ability to manage projects, including planning, execution, and follow-up.

Proficiency in relevant software, including TMS platforms and integration tools.

Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

TruckMate TMS Experience preferred.
