CBS - the top-rated, long-time news leader in Odessa-Midland, TX - is looking for a Digital News Producer to join our news team. You'll be responsible for monitoring the station's social media presence. You should be able to write in AP style and quickly. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of a television newsroom.
Duties / Responsibilities would include (but not be limited to) :
- Write web articles in AP style about any stories assigned or that come in through email / social media / phone calls
- Post web articles to social media accounts
- Come up with & run social media campaigns promoting our anchors / reporters / live events
- Monitor station social media accounts for story ideas
- Use Push Alerts / the news app to get people the latest information
