Job description

Marketing Specialist

This position is responsible for the creation, enhancement, and administration of traditional and electronic marketing tools and for providing direct and indirect support to sales, administrative and management staff.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)

Common job activities are listed below; actual position responsibilities may vary. Refer to your manager or human resources for specific duties and performance expectations.

  1. Create and maintain blog site design, on-going content and graphics. Write articles for the blog site and edit articles submitted by others to the blog site. Solicit sales associates and staff to write articles for the blog site. (25-35%)
  2. Supervise and coordinate the Hotline System activities for assigned markets. Responsibilities include the administration and maintenance of the hotline database, communication of active/assignable hotline numbers to sales offices, coordination and verification of recorded hotline messages, and monthly cross-charges. (20-30%)
  3. Create, enhance, and maintain sales associate's presentation slicks. This also involves coordinating with print vendors, e-marketing vendors, and in-house technology staff. (10-20%)
  4. Provide direct and in-direct support of the company virtual tour program which will post virtual tours to various websites for selected properties. This also involves the monthly bill back of charges to agents for virtual tour orders. (5-25%)
  5. Create marketing pieces (traditional and electronic) and coordinate direct mail programs. Responsibilities include sales associate mailing list data entry and maintenance, vendor communications, identification and communication of specific collateral copy. Includes monthly cross-charges to agents. (5-10%)
  6. Coordinate the customer satisfaction survey program that involves administration, execution, compilation, and reporting. (5-10%)
  7. Coordinate client follow-up programs. Responsibilities include proofing and verification of client records entered into program database, act as program liaison for field operations and vendor. Includes monthly cross-charges to agents. (5-10%)
  8. Assist with all marketing events held during the year. (5-10%)
  9. Coordinate and communicate intranet site design enhancement with technology staff. (5-10%)
  10. Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (0-5%)

  • Perform responsibilities as directed achieving desired results within expected time frames and with a high degree of quality and professionalism.
  • Establish and maintain positive and productive work relationships with all staff, customers and business partners.
  • Demonstrate the behavioral and technical competencies necessary to effectively complete job responsibilities. Take personal initiative for technical and professional development.
  • Follow the company HR Policy, the Code of Business Conduct and all subsidiary and department policies and procedures, including protecting confidential company information, attending work punctually and regularly, and following good safety practices in all activities.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field or equivalent knowledge and experience.

Experience:

  • Three years real estate experience working with agents and staff.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong internet computer skills; proficiency at updating websites through control panels, web editor software knowledge and uploading of images and content as needed.
  • Proficiency in Access, Excel and Desktop Publishing
  • Hands-on knowledge of marketing tools and the ability to coordinate the activities of other marketing staff.
  • Attention to detail; effective oral communication skills.
  • Superior written communication skills. Ability to edit written communication of other individuals.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
