Join a World-Class Corporate Communications Team
Part of Global Marketing & Communications, the Corporate Communications team contributes to shaping AIG's corporate reputation and global brand in the marketplace and supporting AIG’s businesses to help strategically position them for continued growth and profitability. The team develops strategic communications programs and supports leadership and company communications that inform, engage, and inspire our colleagues and stakeholders around the world.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a world-class communications team and exercise a variety of different skills from story conceptualization and storytelling to digital content creation and publication.
Key Responsibilities
Provide writing and editorial support for the global Corporate Communications team to highlight AIG’s business wins and key company initiatives.
Collaborate closely with the broader team on additional key deliverables .
Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders .
Align to a robust content review and approval process .
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field preferred
3+ years of professional experience in a corporate communications writing role, ideally in insurance, financial services or other highly regulated industry
C omfortable working with Content Management Systems and other digital publishing tools; experience with social media a plus
Enthusiastic , high energy and a “can do” approach
A creative self-starter with an ability to problem solve and work independently when needed, but also can work collaboratively with others
Impeccable attention to detail, ensuring that all content is high quality
Excellent multi-tasking, project management, analytical, and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well with colleagues at all levels, and with a geographically distributed workforce
Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment, with high expectations and accountability
For positions based in NYC, the base salary range is $92,000-$102,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. We’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits a summary of which can be viewed here :
