DigitalOcean’s Developer Content Team is searching for a skilled Manager, Technical Writing to help grow our technical content by leading parts of our content strategy, managing a team of technical writers, and ensuring high quality across technical content published on DigitalOcean’s Community website.
As a Manager, Technical Writing, you will brainstorm new topics and guide writers by providing editorial feedback on our articles, which cover software development, DigitalOcean products, managing Linux infrastructure and servers, and installing and configuring software. You will advocate for our readers by aligning content to our style guide, ensuring the content works as written, and rewriting articles. What You'll Be Doing
- Writing, editing, and publishing tutorials about real-world projects in the areas of software development, system administration, AI / ML, and DevOps.

- Managing a team of technical writers, providing editorial feedback and guiding them as they grow their skill sets.
- Utilize metrics and data analysis to refine content strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives while maintaining a strong focus on producing high-quality educational content.
- Applying your editorial skills to improve the technical details, explanations, and quality of writing in each tutorial to ensure the best outcomes for developers.
- Ensure strong collaboration and partnership with other teams including Developer Marketing, Developer Community, and Developer Advocacy.
- Testing the tutorials you publish to ensure they work.
