Personal Injury Litigation Attorney : We seek an Litigation Attorney with 1-3 years of litigation experience to join our growing firm in Corpus Christi, TX. A qualified associate must possess the ability to provide legal representation to advocate for our clients while delivering outstanding client service skills.
Qualifications : The candidate must be licensed to practice in Texas , have graduated from an accredited law school, and be a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas.
The ideal candidate must communicate effectively and possess excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills. The candidate must be self-motivated with strong negotiating skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Although the candidate will receive support and assistance, they must have the knowledge and experience to manage and move pending cases forward independently. The candidate will also be expected to litigate claims and take them to trial when necessary. They preferably have one to three years of personal injury litigation experience with strong litigation skills, including discovery, conducting depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation background.
Job Responsibilities : Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Managing their docket of personal injury cases
- Filing lawsuits
- Conducting depositions
- Draft and answer discovery
- Prepare clients for depositions, mediations, motion hearings, and trials.
- Evaluating claims by working with claims representatives
- Working in a team environment with paralegals and legal secretaries to propound written discovery requests and responses, order and summarize records, coordinate depositions, obtain experts and prepare for depositions and trials.
