Position Summary
Marketing Manager - Contract Manufacturing Strategy & Growth
plays a pivotal role in expanding LifeSync's visibility, lead generation, and strategic positioning in the OEM medical device market. This role blends traditional marketing responsibilities with a forward-looking commercial mindset, supporting both the Marketing and Business Development teams as the company scales its value-added manufacturing platform.
While not directly responsible for business development activities, the role will collaborate closely with Business Development Managers, providing them with the tools, insights, and messaging needed to drive revenue. Additionally, the Marketing Manager will support the assessment of new business opportunities and the development of business cases and presentations to inform strategic decisions. Over time, the position is designed to grow into a market sector leadership role, with increasing ownership over strategic planning and market development.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Positioning Develop and refine messaging that communicates LifeSync's value in value-added manufacturing : design transfer, molding, assembly, quality, and speed-to-market. Conduct ongoing market and competitive research to support strategic positioning. Translate technical capabilities into commercially relevant value propositions tailored for OEM stakeholders. Collaborate with BD Managers to align messaging with customer needs and strategic priorities. Lead Generation & Campaign Execution
Plan and manage targeted lead generation efforts through direct marketing and other demand creation activities. Track and evaluate campaign performance, report on KPIs, and adjust tactics accordingly. Generate marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) and support handoff to BD and Sales teams. Marketing Communications & Sales Enablement
Own the development of OEM-focused marketing assets, including value briefs, presentations, pitch decks, and case studies. Oversee LifeSync's website, SEO strategy, and digital campaigns to increase brand visibility in the OEM market. Support customer surveys, voice-of-customer initiatives, and pre / post-event communications. Business Opportunity Assessment & Strategic Support
Support Business Development Managers by evaluating new business opportunities, including market attractiveness, customer fit, and revenue potential. Develop business cases that quantify opportunity size, ROI potential, resource needs, and alignment with company strategy. Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations that support investment decisions, project prioritization, or customer proposals. Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams to ensure business case assumptions are validated and risks are identified. Contribute to commercial planning and long-term strategic positioning initiatives. Serve as a bridge between Marketing, Business Development, Engineering, and Operations to maintain alignment across teams. Collaborative Business Development Support
Partner with Business Development Managers to support account strategy, customer-facing materials, and opportunity tracking. Participate in key customer discovery meetings as needed to align messaging and marketing resources. Support tradeshow planning, customer events, and follow-up campaigns to extend reach and engagement. Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA a plus 5-7+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in the medical device or value-added manufacturing sector Strong messaging, storytelling, and campaign execution skills Familiarity with OEM customer dynamics and technical marketing Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation tools, and digital analytics platforms Experience developing business cases, conducting opportunity assessments, financial analysis, and supporting executive data-driven decision-making. Ability to lead cross-functional teams. Key Attributes
