BridgeTower Media is seeking an Editor to help lead a staff of reporters and news coverage. Organizationally, we are making a sincere effort to create an equitable, welcoming, and inclusive culture. We are seeking leaders who both understand and can mitigate the impact of unconscious bias in all aspects of the workplace.
Duties + Responsibilities :
- Work with staff reporters, freelance contributors and interns to conceive and execute insightful coverage for our audiences
- Lead a multimedia newsroom providing local, essential niche content online, email newsletters, social media and print.
- Edit and post stories and commentaries to ensure essential digital content daily
- Assist in the production of a daily newspaper and digital edition
- Help develop new editorial products and expand coverage areas and audiences
- Collaborate with other departments and other organizations within BridgeTower Media
- Work with the Executive Editor to carry out the vision of the organization
- Keep abreast of industry developments, audience analytics and emerging editorial technologies
- Various administrative duties
