POSITION OVERVIEW : Chiquita is currently seeking a Corporate Tax Accountant to join the North American Tax Team. We are searching for a dynamic and motivated individual to perform a variety of functions with a particular focus on supporting our tax operations within the US. Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, the functions of this position will include providing tax support to the North American Tax Team on local tax compliance support, managing of state tax audits, tax legislative updates, existing and new business initiatives, business restructurings and international tax aspects. This position is 100% onsite and located in Dania Beach, Florida.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Support the preparation, review, filing, and payment of US federal, state direct, and international tax compliance processes (including but not limited to forms 1120, 5471, 5472, 8865, 8892, etc.).
• Utilize Thomson Reuters's OneSource platform for efficient tax compliance management.
• Assist in the preparation of the global tax provision, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information for tax compliance processes.
• Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify potential tax planning opportunities.
• Assist in tax audits and inquiries, providing necessary documentation and support as required.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement enhancements to streamline tax compliance processes.
• Ad hoc tax projects as required or as needed.
