Job description

The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing the Finance and Accounting Department of the Company. This role will directly interface with Company ownership to present on the financials of the company, and partner with all other departments on invoicing, accounts receivables / payables, as well as advise on best practices for tax and accounting regulations.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Directs budget preparation, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification for proposed budgets.
  • Prepares and presents financial statements and related reports, including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis.
  • Supervises monthly balancing of books and monthly account reviews; prepares and presents monthly financial statements.
  • Oversees the operations of a large, fast-growing Accounting Department,
  • Manages all accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and purchasing.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and implements accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures all financial reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinates annual independent audit and preparation of annual tax documents.
  • Provides management with timely reviews of the organization's financial status and progress.
  • Ensures compliance with statutory payroll and property tax reporting.
  • Monitors receivables to ensure credit risk is mitigated.
  • Oversees training programs and identifies training needs.
  • Assists with company strategic planning.
  • Assists with special projects as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent in a related field.
  • At least 7 years’ experience in a similar position in a large manufacturing-related company, preferably in fabrication
  • Strong understanding of accounting practices, regulations, and policies for growing organizations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Preferred experience with ADP Workforce Now, QuickBooks, and NetSuite.
