The Opportunity
Canopy is seeking a part-time Paralegal to support our legal and compliance functions. This role will work closely with our external counsels and cross-functional teams to manage contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and other legal matters. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
This is a Utah-based, remote position , with a hybrid option available based on the candidate's preference. This is a part-time position. Must be available to work 10-29 hours per week between M-F, 9 AM to 5 PM (based on business needs).
What You'll Do :
- Contract Management : Draft, review, and manage contracts, including NDAs, vendor agreements, and customer agreements.
- Legal Research & Compliance : Conduct legal research on relevant regulations, industry best practices, and company policies to ensure compliance.
- Corporate Governance : Assist with entity management, board resolutions, meeting minutes, and filings.
- Regulatory Support : Help monitor and maintain compliance with relevant laws, including data privacy regulations and employment laws.
- Document Preparation & Review : Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, correspondence, and policies.
- Litigation & Risk Support : Help track legal disputes, subpoenas, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Administrative Support : Maintain legal records, track key contract dates, and organize documentation.
