Our teams help close skill gaps, modernize HR models, and create engaging employee experiences at scale. Working in HR at IBM means bridging technology and people. Streamlining processes, driving agility, and enabling leaders and employees to thrive. You'll collaborate across the business to shape the future of work. With continuous learning, career growth, and a culture built on empathy and innovation, IBM offers the opportunity to make a real impact on organizations and people worldwide.
This role serves as the key strategic partner to Finance and People Technology (F&PT) leadership team, supporting Red Hat and IBM IT capabilities. The role orchestrates the intersection of technical portfolio management, finance, and talent, acting as the connective tissue to ensure a seamless, productive partnership and rigorous alignment between high-level technology strategy and business execution across both corporate entities. This position demands a "bilingual" leader capable of distilling complex technical roadmaps into executive strategy, modernizing IT operational efficiency & delivery and driving the organizational Objectives and Key Results (OKR) lifecycle.
What You Will Do :
- IT Strategy & Technical Governance
- Drive successful partnership and organizational alignment by navigating, integrating, and understanding the distinct cultural, process, and technical operating models of both Red Hat and IBM for the F&PT function.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, orchestrating top priorities, technology governance and managing critical escalations to ensure a unified approach across a global workforce.
- Guide organizational collaboration with other functions, acting as a proxy for leadership and driving cross-functional alignment on critical technology objectives and dependencies.
- Lead the annual strategic planning cycle, orchestrating business case development (including ROI analysis for technology investments) and conducting detailed financial modeling to support long-term goals.
- Develop, refine, and communicate the organizational vision, ensuring technology implementation roadmaps align with the broader business impact.
- Facilitate the collaborative creation of quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to ensure organizational focus on key platform and service delivery metrics.
- Communications & Operating Rhythm
- Establish and drive the F&PT operating rhythm to ensure consistent information flow & strategic portfolio performance, key risk indicators, and technology roadmap adherence.
- Serve as the primary liaison for functional and executive communications regarding enterprise service risk, strategic security posture, and major technology initiatives.
- Conduct listening to sessions and roundtables to create a continuous feedback loop, providing leadership with unfiltered insights on successes, gaps, and challenges in technology adoption & delivery.
- Strategic IT Investment & Financial Management
- Manage the annual strategic IT investment portfolio for RH, partnering with Finance, Procurement, and IT to maintain fiscal discipline both in RH & IBM.
- Maintain financial controls, accurate forecasting models, and variance analysis to enable strategic, data-driven IT investment decisions and minimize total cost of ownership across the portfolio.
- Champion IT cost optimization programs through strategic vendor negotiations, software license management and architecture optimization both within RH & IBM.
- Workforce Planning & Digital Innovation
- Architect and execute data-driven IT workforce optimization strategies, managing headcount and onboarding while reducing total spending.
- Serve as the strategic connector for IT to define and execute unified workforce both within IBM & RH as we move into transformations.
- Lead organizational innovation and digital adoption initiatives, organizing training and events (such as Hackathons) to foster a culture of continuous learning and modernization with a focus on automation & engineering excellence.
