At KVC, we believe that exceptional care begins with empowered and well-trained professionals. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nurse Educator to support and enhance the professional development of our nursing staff. This role is essential in ensuring our team delivers safe, high-quality, and compassionate care every day.
What You'll Do :
Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs that strengthen clinical knowledge and promote evidence-based practice.
Coordinate and facilitate in-service training, workshops, and seminars on essential topics such as infection control, patient safety, and medication administration.
Serve as a mentor and clinical resource, providing guidance and support to nursing staff.
Assess staff competency through observation and skill assessments, ensuring compliance with current standards and regulations.
Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to develop educational materials and initiatives that align with organizational goals.
Maintain accurate records of all educational activities, evaluations, and licensure-related training.
Step in as a staff or charge RN as needed, supporting clinical operations with your expertise.
What We're Looking For :
Required Education : ADN from an accredited nursing school
Preferred Education : BSN or Master’s in Nursing Education
Experience : At least 3–6 months of relevant experience; behavioral health experience preferred
Licensure : Active and unencumbered RN license in Kansas
Other Requirements :
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Minimum age of 21
Strong written / verbal communication and team leadership skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
