What You Will Do
Record verbatim proceedings of courts, legislative assemblies, committee meetings, and other proceedings, using stenograph machines
Prepare accurate final transcript per client’s request / Submit final ASCII via online portal
Proofread transcripts for correct spelling of words
Ask speakers to clarify inaudible statements
Provide transcripts of proceedings upon request of judges, lawyers, or the public
Transcribe recorded proceedings in accordance with established formats

What You Will Need
Certified Shorthand Reporters (CSR) license, where applicable
NCRA Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) certification, if your state does not offer a license
