Billing Analyst

Clean Energy is changing the way the world fuels its vehicles. Reducing pollution from the transportation industry is an important goal for our nation, and we at Clean Energy know just how realistic and attainable that goal is with natural gas fuel.

Our company is an essential business and we are hiring! Our office is located on a beautiful campus in Newport Beach, California. Benefits offered include 401K, medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D and more. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $72,000 depending on experience.

Ensure all system tools are updated to generate billing that is accurate and meets contractual requirements. Develop, identify, and evaluate systems from end-to-end for billing and reporting.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Analyze billing matrix, commodity bills or other records necessary (such as monthly indexes) to compile data needed for invoice preparation for Clean Energy and all subsidiaries in D365.

Review all manual billing calculations to ensure billing is consistent with contractual terms. Analyze potential discrepancies and issues and make necessary corrections to ensure accurate billing.

Review and approve all CPI/PPI index calculations.

Support supervisor with billing analysis, volume and revenue reconciliations during close process.

Support supervisor with internal and external audits that includes all required reporting.

Responsible for reviewing and updating SOX documentation for billing related processes.

Support sales team related to customer analysis and contract review. Recommend contract revisions related to billing.

Responsible for testing and finalizing all new D365 or 3rd party system tools utilized by the team as it relates to billing and reporting.

Support SR. Billing Analyst and team on an as needed basis.

Develop and document efficient billing procedures for new and existing business needs as determined by management.

Other duties as assigned.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, 3-5 years of related experience, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.

Mathematical skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of MS Dynamics preferred.
