Job descriptionMinimum of 2 years of credit analysis experience, preferably in C&I and CRE loans. Strong understanding of financial statements, credit risk, and lending practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
We are working with a well-established community bank in the Fairfield County market to find a Credit Analyst. This role will focus on underwriting Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loans.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant documents to assess creditworthiness of loan applicants.
- Prepare and present credit write-ups and recommendations for loan approvals.
- Conduct due diligence, including market analysis, property appraisals, and financial modeling.
- Review and assess risk factors and make recommendations for mitigating potential issues.
- Work closely with lending officers and other teams to facilitate loan processing.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of loan applications and decisions.
