The Associate Scheduler is responsible for daily gas scheduling tasks, including nominations on natural gas pipelines' electronic bulletin boards. This position may report pipeline positions to the trading team, balance pools, and manage relationships with pipelines and customers. The role also involves inputting operational data into Horizon and aiding other departments with Horizon entries. The Gas Scheduler acts as a link between Gas Marketing and Accounting / Invoicing.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle nominations and activities on natural gas pipelines.
- Report pipeline positions to the trading team.
- Balance pools and maintain relationships with pipelines and customers.
- Enter operational data into Horizon.
- Assist departments with Horizon input.
- Support Trading activities.
- Review maintenance schedules to reduce impact on gas flow.
- Analyze monthly invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Resolve disputes regarding balances or invoices.
- Ensure accurate daily scheduling and balancing of natural gas pipelines.
- Assist with month-end accounting for multiple pipelines.
- Help implement daily / monthly gas management system trades.
- Update Marketing positions timely throughout the day.
- Track and address pipeline curtailments and issues.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
- Ability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in the oil and gas industry.
- Physical Requirements
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
