Overview :
Presbyterian is seeking a skilled Cardiac Critical Care Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of acute care patients in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
RNs working in Cardiac Critical Care are responsible for providing advanced care to critically ill patients with complex cardiac conditions. The ideal candidate is a dedicated professional with a passion for excellence, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Type of Opportunity : Full Time (0.9 FTE / 36 hours per week)
Work Schedule : 12 Hour Nights

Qualifications :
Associate Degree in Nursing
State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire
Responsibilities :
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with acute cardiac conditions, including post-surgical recovery, heart failure, myocardial infarctions, and arrhythmias.
Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced therapies such as hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, ECMO, and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Administer medications, perform advanced cardiac assessments, and intervene in life-threatening emergencies.
Educate patients and families about their condition, treatments, and post-discharge care.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
