Physician Assistant - Specialized - 1089 ? Critical Care Advance Practice
Job Details:
- Full-time night shift position working three 12-hour shifts weekly from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Manage critically-ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting with typical APP to patient ratio of 10-15 ICU patients
- Collaborate with attending physicians to develop care plans and communicate dynamic changes throughout shift
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions
- Perform order entry using Cerner EMR and provide thorough documentation including History and Physicals, Consultations, Event/Follow-up Notes and Procedure Notes
- Interpret diagnostic testing and communicate with ICU nursing staff
- Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds each shift
- Perform invasive procedures including central line insertions, vascaths, introducers, and arterial line insertions
- ACNP or PA with valid national and state licensure required
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an ICU setting
- Proficiency with ICU procedures specifically central and arterial line insertions required
- If NP candidate, must be Acute Care Certified
- Local candidates preferred
