Opportunity:

Physician Assistant - Specialized - 1089 ? Critical Care Advance Practice

Job Details:

• Full-time night shift position working three 12-hour shifts weekly from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• Manage critically-ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting with typical APP to patient ratio of 10-15 ICU patients

• Collaborate with attending physicians to develop care plans and communicate dynamic changes throughout shift

• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions

• Perform order entry using Cerner EMR and provide thorough documentation including History and Physicals, Consultations, Event/Follow-up Notes and Procedure Notes

• Interpret diagnostic testing and communicate with ICU nursing staff

• Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds each shift

• Perform invasive procedures including central line insertions, vascaths, introducers, and arterial line insertions

• ACNP or PA with valid national and state licensure required

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an ICU setting

• Proficiency with ICU procedures specifically central and arterial line insertions required

• If NP candidate, must be Acute Care Certified

• Local candidates preferred
