Piedmont’s Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is committed to developing nationally recognized practices focused on the prevention and treatment of diseases through the integration of quality patient care, education, research, and professional development.
Our Interventional Pulmonary program was established in 2017. We offer a state-of-the-art bronchoscopy procedure suite, a dedicated procedural team, and a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Our program is the first in the state of Georgia to offer the endobronchial lung volume reduction valves for patients with severe emphysema.
The Pulmonary Division is a dedicated team comprised of board-certified physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff members. We strive to become the destination center for anyone with a pulmonary condition who is searching for medical and service excellence. The goal of our team is to develop a patient-centered approach tailored to meet each individual’s needs with a focus on making the correct diagnosis, evidence-based best practice treatment regimens, symptom management, and preventive care. The services provided to our patients are supported by evidence-based practices that drive innovation and compassionate care.
Our highly trained team of critical care specialists are available 24 / 7 in the hospital and are ready to treat patients in need of immediate attention whether in the Emergency Department, on the general medical surgical units, or in the intensive care units. Qualifications
- MD or DO Medical Degree
- Must be board certified (or board eligible) in Interventional Pulmonary
- Must be board certified (or board eligible) in Pulmonary & Critical Care
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in the State of Georgia
- United States Residency and Fellowship trained
