Mammography Technologist

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $60.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, including weekend rotation

Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mammography Technologist to support a leading healthcare organization in Houston, TX. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled imaging professional who is committed to providing accurate, high-quality mammography procedures and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography radiographic procedures used to assist physicians in detecting abnormalities and diagnosing breast conditions.

  • Prepare patients for mammography procedures and explain the examination process.

  • Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Operate mammography equipment safely and effectively according to established procedures.

  • Ensure images meet required quality standards for physician interpretation.

  • Follow established radiation safety, infection-control, and patient-care procedures.

  • Maintain accurate patient and examination documentation.

  • Verify patient information and follow appropriate identification procedures.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment.

  • Communicate professionally with patients, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.

  • Protect patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience required.

  • Strong knowledge of mammography procedures and patient positioning.

  • Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

  • Professional, dependable, and compassionate approach to patient care.

  • Ability to follow established safety, infection-control, and radiation-protection procedures.
