Job description

POSITION SUMMARY :

The culinary booking manager is responsible for the overall maintenance of the culinary event staff. Troubleshooting, problem solving and anticipating obstacles within the scope of events, while maintaining the companies high standard of best practices. While the core function of the position is fulfilling Staff Requests the job requires oversite of the event team, ensuring training and staffing logistics

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Knowledge of culinary skills, formal culinary training preferred
  • Display strong work ethics and work habits
  • Fair and firm management abilities
  • Good understanding of booking web based software
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite experience ( Excel, Word, Outlook )
  • Shows initiative, self-motivated while being a team player attitude and flexible

JOB DUTIES AND RESPPONSABILITIES :

  • Recruit, book and manage culinary event staff per Staff Requests per companies Nowsta protocol
  • Liaise with event chefs, updating event changes, managing and replacing call outs as needed
  • Keeping up to date rooster of OCC, staffing agency chefs with skill set and placement levels
  • Ensure that staff understands Nowsta, expectations pertaining to procedures, clocking in, OCC protocols and response time requirements
  • Forecasting staffing needs during busy season
  • Attend all weekly staffing and kitchen meetings
  • Occasionally assist with on-site event check in
  • Post event triage addressing any issues or concerns
  • Ensure lead chefs send kitchen reports in within 24 hours of events end
  • Participate in lead chef program, organizing training sessions when planned and update manual as needed
  • Liaise with staffing and service dept on logistics of all out of town events.
  • Assist payroll departments with entering staff hours after events are complete
  • Occasionally assist kitchen management team when needed
