We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior UX Designer to lead the design process for digital platforms, focusing on creating intuitive and user-centric experiences by conducting deep user research, designing wireframes and prototypes, collaborating closely with product teams, and ensuring accessibility standards are met, all while staying updated on industry trends and best practices to optimize user engagement. You will co-lead the establishment of a new UX Team and its organizational context for this company within the insurance and financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities :
- User Research and Analysis :
Conduct in-depth user research through interviews, surveys, usability testing, and analytics to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors across various services.
Develop user-centered design strategies, including user personas, journey maps, and information architecture to guide design decisions and prioritize features.
Work closely with product managers, engineers, stakeholders, and other designers to translate user needs into feasible design solutions and ensure alignment with business goals.
Design accessible interfaces that adhere to WCAG guidelines and ensure all users can navigate and interact with financial tools effectively.
Contribute to and maintain the company's design system, ensuring consistency and quality across all digital touchpoints.
Conduct usability testing to validate design decisions, gather feedback, and iteratively improve the user experience.
Help establish a new UX Team including roles / responsibilities and OLAs with other IT Stakeholders.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, promoting best practices and design thinking within the team.
Compensation : 50 / hr to $65 / hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and / or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
