JOB DESCRIPTION

The Account Manager is responsible for generating revenue by selling exhibit space, targeting new organizations and opportunities, while maintaining current exhibitor relationships. The role collaborates with the Exhibits Director and Strategic Partnership team to cross-sell exhibit space and sponsorship items.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales & Revenue Generation – Drive exhibit hall revenue through telephone solicitation, emails, written correspondence, and in-person meetings while researching and securing new exhibitors.
  • Client Relationship Management – Develop and maintain strong relationships with exhibitors and sponsors, ensuring timely communication and fulfillment of agreements.
  • Exhibitor Logistics & Support – Manage exhibitor logistics, ensuring all paperwork, deadlines, and participation requirements are met while supporting on-site exhibitor activities.
  • Exhibitor Management Software Utilization – Use exhibitor management tools to assign space, develop booths, and process floor plans efficiently.
  • Sales Materials & Documentation – Oversee the creation and distribution of sales materials, proposals, and digital resources to support exhibitor engagement and revenue growth.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • 3+ years of trade show or sales experience required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required. Equivalent experience accepted
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with outside vendors on logistical requirements
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, and smell continually.
  • Ability to stand, walk and reach frequently.
  • Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch occasionally.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs., and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Close vision required to see computer monitor, read documents, and operate copy and fax machine.
