Purpose / General Description :
General Laborer is responsible for working courteously to serve all customers in all weather conditions by operating equipment and performing tasks in a safe manner. General Laborer is also responsible for monitoring, maintaining and preserving equipment while working to improve performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Housekeeping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Always maintain safety awareness, wear all PPE consistently, perform tasks in a safe manner and ensure others work safely at all times. Bring awareness to issues and potential issues (near-miss) as discovered in all areas of the operation.
- Clearly understand all expectations for performance, policies, procedures and standard work requirements of the various management systems : Safety, Quality, Operations, Maintenance and Housekeeping.
- Be an effective team member by setting a proper example, fulfilling responsibilities, keeping commitments to others, communicating effectively and building teamwork within the group.
- Operate and maintain machinery, tooling and support equipment necessary for reliable operation and consistent quality performance.
- Perform to all production schedule requirements. Respond effectively to changes or problems in the production environment to ensure the best possible outcomes for all customers.
- Complete all production reporting as required accurately and in a timely fashion.

Employees must possess the ability to perform the essential job functions successfully and safely within the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and / or quantitative productivity standards. Employees must maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. Employees are required to have visual acuity to maintain safety awareness. Prolonged periods of sitting & standing, are an essential part of this position.
Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time.
