Job descriptionEffective communication and interpersonal skills Possess a good driving record Ability to read and follow instructions Ability to perform basic arithmetic Requirement determined by supervisor Monitor parking lots before, during and after school. Patrol perimeter of campus throughout day Verify doors are secure throughout day Look for unusual activities and suspicious persons Patrol Athletic Facilities Patrol hidden area of campus Assist with arrival / dismissal of staff and students Assist the crossing guard supervisor in observing the daily operation of the crossing guard program. Provide written or oral reports as required. Provide support in areas of campus that are safety vulnerable. Work with Director of Safe Schools to identify and address vulnerabilities. Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school / department are met. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal). Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
