Job descriptionWelcoming and assisting guests and team members on the sales floor. Maintaining a secure environment through vigilant security practices. Documenting security incidents accurately. Utilizing escalation tools to resolve guest issues. Conducting merchandise recoveries and supporting apprehension efforts as directed. Performing receipt checks to prevent theft at the front of the store. Submitting documentation in accordance with AP policies. Leveraging video surveillance systems effectively. Training team members on merchandise protection techniques. Executing action plans to minimize shortages. Ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and team members. Providing exceptional service that enhances the shopping experience. Fostering a culture of ethical conduct and compliance. Identifying hazards and complying with safety policies. Performing other duties as needed based on business requirements. Thrive in a fun, energetic environment and enjoy teamwork. Take pride in providing exceptional service that makes guests feel valued. Are excited about stocking, setting, and selling Target products. Prefer a dynamic work environment to a desk job. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. ABOUT ASSETS PROTECTION
The Assets Protection (AP) team is vital in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, team, and brand. We work diligently to mitigate risks, prevent theft and fraud, and ensure that products are readily available for our guests.
As a Security Specialist at Target, you will gain :
- Expertise in using intelligence-led tactics to ensure safety.
- Experience in crisis response, crowd management, and safety protocols.
- Skills in de-escalation and recovering stolen merchandise to prevent losses.
- Familiarity with Target's video surveillance system.
- Experience in documenting incidents using case management systems.
