Job descriptionTeaching classical mechanics alongside a rotation of thematic classes at the middle school and high school levels. Ensure lesson plans are engaging and active, which supports a positive classroom management program. Additional responsibilities include mentoring independent projects and teaching mini-courses related to physics or the successful candidate’s interests. Foster creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on projects and activities. Encourage collaboration and teamwork among students on physics projects.
CalWest's partner school in the Bay Area seeks an experienced Physics Teacher to begin in July 2025.
Qualifications :
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- Master's degree and experience working with secondary school students preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dedication to creating an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
- Experience working with middle school students is a plus.
