Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Data Scientist to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced data analysis, business knowledge and machine learning / AI techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. This role offers an opportunity to work with a variety of applications, data sources, and cloud-based vendor solutions. The Data Scientist collaborates with operations and business teams to create predictive models, dashboards, and reports for staffing, KPIs, and contract renewals.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Design and optimize ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and storage
• Conduct data mining and exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within large datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Architect, build and maintain databases with effective design principles to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Deploy machine learning models into production environments using model deployment best practices on cloud platforms.
• Analyze operational and performance data from school bus fleets and contracts
• Build predictive and statistical models to improve various points of the business such as contract renewal, staffing needs, operational KPIs.
• Stay current with emerging trends in AI and analytics to continuously improve modeling approaches.
