Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Data Analyst to support program management, data analytics, and reporting activities at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Alternatives to Detention Division (ATDD). This role will be responsible for providing support within a team of analysts to government taskings, status reports, data calls, analytics and dashboard development, customer relationship management and various other programmatic needs. This role will be a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to collect and compile information to ensure timely responses to requests and ad hoc assignments.

Support data analytics and reporting requirements for unit teams including weekly and monthly report requirements to the customer as well as real-time response to tasking-related data requests

Provide support to ATD data requirements within both internal and external data systems

Provide trend analysis to ATD data sets to understand and plan for program requirements

Support cross-functional data analyses to present overall program execution

Create, draft, and provide updates for the project Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Understand the needs, issues, and challenges faced by the clients; perform gap analysis and recommend solutions.

Coordinate with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.

Create project deliverables, including artifacts to ensure adherence to team compliance and quality standards.

Develop, gather and disseminate information and documentation among both business and technical customers in support of the Project Managers.

Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution.

Verify data and information and analyze it to suit the direction of a project.

Track, forecast and report on project progress including metrics and challenges.

Work with all team members to analyze changes in requirements and recommend the most expedient solutions in a timely manner.

Leverage advanced writing skills to translate complicated issues from multiple information sources into a clear point of view to create a compelling, concise, and well-written narrative.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (or commensurate experience)

3+ years of experience work in dynamic customer delivery environments

Experience with data analytic tools and technology utilized in the ICE environment

Preferred Skills and Experience

Direct experience supporting DHS and ICE

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong understanding in project management and data analysis.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Ability to work independently in an extremely fast-paced environment.

Ability to foster collaborative relationships with other team and external stakeholders.

Be flexible to change direction on a moment’s notice while also tracking / executing tasks in progress.

Ability to think “outside of the box” while communicating or dealing with a variety of situations.

Possess clear understanding of the activities, roles, and responsibilities on large scale IT projects.

Clearance Required :

• Ability to attain and maintain DHS clearance (US citizenship required)

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department / team performance, and market factors.

USD $74,000.00 - USD $84,000.00 / Yr.
