We keep growing and are adding another experienced Data Center Operations Systems Technician I to our great team. If you have 2 years of full-time general field experience, you will work as a team player to provide technical guidance in support of all maintenance, operations, and expansion efforts. This includes critical infrastructure of power, cooling systems, communications, and facilities. Also, completing preventative maintenance as planned by our Systems Management.

Job Details

The data center is a 24 hour / 7 day operation. This position requires the ability to work effectively under pressure, multi-task, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Data Center Operations Systems Technician may be required to work extended hours during peak work periods. Our Team members will be required to read and understand various color codes on components, wiring, and equipment. This position will require working near live electrical and mechanical equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Responsible for and maintain 100% critical systems uptime;
• Train towards becoming a First Responder to critical infrastructure alarms;
• Accurate and timely completion of work orders
• Handle different tools and equipment with precision
• Adhere to Switch Safety Policy and Procedure
• Work with vendors and contractors to ensure their work meets Switch standards
• Assist in inspecting buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions
• Perform assigned collateral duties and tasks assigned by management staff
• Attend assigned meetings and training
• Maintain a professional appearance

Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills

This may include electrical feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS Systems, DC Power Systems, ATS / STS units, PDU units, breakers, batteries, load bank connections, CRACs, air handling units, fluid coolers, pumps, cages, and fire suppression systems
