Job description

Fraud Governance & Risk Specialist

This position supports a major Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) modernization effort by focusing on fraud governance, fraud risk, and related controls. The role is responsible for creating, consolidating, and standardizing fraud-related policies and standards. The successful candidate will act as a domain-specific content creator, gathering existing materials, drafting new standards, and working with subject matter expert teams through iterative review cycles to produce strong initial drafts for stakeholder refinement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and document fraud governance standards, including external fraud controls, internal fraud governance frameworks, and reimbursement handling standards.
  • Consolidate existing fragmented fraud-related documentation into standardized templates from various sources.
  • Define and align fraud-related controls and monitoring practices across the enterprise.
  • Determine what content should be classified as policy, standard, procedure, or guidance documentation.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to validate domain-specific requirements and shepherd finalized standards through the publication process.
  • Help determine how fraud-related content should be organized and mapped within the broader standards structure.

Required Qualifications

Approximately 7+ years of experience in Fraud Risk, Financial Crimes, or GRC. This includes experience in fraud detection, monitoring, or governance and policy/standard development.

Strong technical writing and content creation skills with the ability to create, restructure, and standardize content from multiple source materials. Ability to translate operational fraud practices into formal governance frameworks and work in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with fraud metrics, controls, and reporting frameworks.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
