About the Role
The Company is actively seeking an Executive Data Director to spearhead the establishment and execution of our comprehensive enterprise data strategy and governance. As a pivotal member of the technology leadership team, you will articulate a clear vision for data collection, governance, and its utilization to foster competitive advantage and drive innovation. Your strategic oversight will ensure that our data is accurate, accessible, secure, and actionable, with an emphasis on advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and fostering collaboration across functions.
Your role will include dismantling data silos, creating a robust governance framework, and leading transformative data initiatives across the enterprise. You will also be responsible for attracting, mentoring, and nurturing a diverse data team, and providing trusted guidance to executive leadership on all data-related aspects.
To be considered for the Executive Data Director position, candidates should have a minimum of 15 years of experience in data strategy, governance, analytics, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity. A strong background in the Property & Casualty insurance industry is essential, coupled with a notable track record in leading successful data transformation initiatives. Expertise in data governance, privacy, and compliance is critical.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate a robust understanding of emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, and cloud data platforms, along with exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and influencing skills. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's or advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred. We seek a true thought leader in data strategy and governance, dedicated to fostering a data-driven culture and enhancing our organizational data capabilities.
