Job Description

IAT Insurance Group has an opening for a Vendor Management Internship within our Claims Business Unit in our Cheshire, Connecticut location for the summer of 2025. The Vendor Management internship provides an opportunity to gain experience in procurement processes, contract management, analyzing vendor performance results and managing vendor relationships. Additionally, the Vendor Management intern will assist with the implementation of a company-wide vendor management system. The anticipated start date for this internship is May 27th, 2025. Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in day-to-day vendor management production tasks including tracking vendor metrics and helping to prepare reports on vendor performance.
• Aid in reviewing and updating vendor contracts.
• Help with preparation of training materials for vendor management system implementation.
• Work with internal teams such as Claims, Finance, IT and Underwriting to understand business need.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Compensation :

Please note, that the hourly rate associated with this posting is $17 - $20. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base hourly rate for this position. Actual hourly rate will vary based on a candidate's class standing.
